ALL NINTENDO DS PORTABLE HAVE 2 DUAL LCD SCREENS.THE BOTTOM HAS A LCD SCREEN WITH ANOTHER ONE ON TOP WHICH IS CALLED THE TOUCH-SCREEN.

IF THIS SCREEN FAILS YOU WILL STILL ABLE SEE THE BOTTOM LCD WORKING,BUT THE TOUCH-SCREEN WILL NOT WORK.THE WORST IS IF IT CRACKS ,YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE SEE THE BOTTOM LCD PICTURE CLEARLY.ALSO IT MAY CURE TOUCHSCREEN CALIBRATION PROBLEMS.

IF BOTH HAVE BEEN DAMAGED YOU WILL NEED THE BOTTOM LCD AS WELL. SEE MY OTHER ITEMS IF BOTTOM LCD IS REQUIRED AS WELL.
